Golf Driving Irons

Golf Driving Irons otherwise called golf utility irons have seen a rise in popularity in recent years. This can be put down to the advancements in technology the golf industry has seen. The advancements in tech have allowed your average golfer to hit a driving iron more easily.

Driving Irons are typically used off the tee rather than a replacement for a golf hybrid. Driving irons come into their own if you're looking for a low penetrating ball flight down tight fairways. The centre of gravity (CG) is closer to the face on driving irons which leads to lower spin and straighter golf shots. Although driving irons are not normally ideal for golfers with slower swing speed, this is because the low spin requires a decent amount of speed to get the best possible performance from them.

Golf driving irons are often paired with graphite golf shafts as steel golf shafts can make the club too heavy. The larger the head design tends to itself to being more forgiving and offer a higher ball flight. While a smaller head will be more suited to skilled ball strikers. If you are a golfer who is confident in their ball-striking ability then a driving iron could be a great option for hitting accurate golf shots.
