This manufacturing method enables COBRA to surpass the limitations of traditional casting and forging, providing engineers with precise control over internal structure and mass placement. The result is greater consistency from head to head and the freedom to engineer forgiveness and feel without altering the external profile.

Forgiving Players Game Improvement Shape

The 3DP X sits between COBRA’s DS-ADAPT and KING TEC-X irons in both size and intent. The shape is confidence-inspiring without appearing bulky, with balanced proportions that suit a wide range of golfers. Internally, a complex 3D-printed lattice structure supports forgiveness while maintaining a solid, responsive feel upon impact.

Internal Lattice Structure

At the heart of the 3DP X is a sophisticated internal lattice that removes unnecessary mass from the centre of the head. These weight savings allow COBRA to create an exceptionally high MOI and a very low centre of gravity, helping the iron launch easily and stay stable through impact. Crucially, this is achieved without compromising the clean silhouette golfers expect from a more traditional iron shape.

Extreme Forgiveness with Soft Feel

The internal lattice doesn’t just free up weight. It also reinforces the facial structure, allowing stiffness and strength to be tuned precisely. This fine control helps optimise acoustics, producing a quieter, more controlled impact sound that translates directly into a softer, more composed feel, even on strikes away from the centre.

Tungsten Weighting

Up to 55 grams of tungsten is positioned within the toe and hosel, using the discretionary weight made available by the 3D printed structure. This placement dramatically increases MOI and stability, delivering forgiveness comparable to much larger super game-improvement irons, while preserving a traditional, player-friendly appearance.

Every COBRA 3DP X iron set is assembled in-house at the Nine by Nine Golf workshop. Each club is built by a single master builder and finished to tour-level tolerances before dispatch. The focus is on accuracy and consistency, so every club in the set matches the specification you ordered.
