Draw-Biased Design for Slice Reduction
The MAX fairway is engineered with a left-biased flight in mind. Strategic weight placement shifts the centre of gravity closer to the hosel, encouraging quicker face closure through impact. This helps straighten ball flight and reduce side spin, supporting higher launch and a more playable draw shape without forcing exaggerated curvature.
POI-Focused Stability
As with the rest of the OPTM fairway range, the MAX is designed to minimise Products of Inertia. By reducing resistance to twisting across multiple axes, the head stays more stable through impact, limiting dispersion and helping off-centre strikes stay on line rather than peeling away to the right.
Forgiveness-First Head Shaping
Advanced supercomputing was used to refine head shaping and internal mass distribution. The result is a profile that prioritises stability and forgiveness while remaining easy to launch. The shape inspires confidence at address and supports consistent contact from a variety of lies.
Adjustable Trajectory Control
An adjustable weighting system uses two interchangeable weights, 14g and 3g, to fine-tune ball flight. Positioning the heavier weight in the back promotes a neutral to slight draw-biased flight with added forgiveness, while moving it into the heel increases draw bias for maximum slice correction. This allows trajectory tuning without sacrificing stability.
Forged Face with H.O.T. Technology
A forged face insert with H.O.T. Face technology increases face flex across a wider impact area. Ball speed and carry are preserved more effectively on off-centre strikes, delivering consistent distance without a harsh feel.
On-Course Performance
On the course, the OPTM MAX Fairway produces a high, stable launch with a gentle draw bias. From the fairway, it helps lift the ball easily and maintain carry into longer approaches. From the tee, it offers confidence and consistency on tighter holes. Centre strikes feel solid and predictable, while miss-hits retain direction noticeably well, particularly for players who tend to miss towards the heel.
