The X is engineered to sit between the compact precision of the LS and the outright forgiveness of MAX models. Its balanced head shape supports easy launch and consistent carry while retaining enough stability to keep dispersion tight on off-centre strikes.
POI-Focused Stability
OPTM fairways are designed to minimise Products of Inertia, reducing resistance to twisting across multiple axes at impact. Strategic shaping and weight placement help the head stay stable through the strike, limiting side spin and improving directional consistency when contact drifts away from the centre.
Refined Shaping for Control
Advanced supercomputing was used to optimise head shaping and internal mass distribution. The result is a profile that blends aerodynamic efficiency with forgiveness, helping maintain clubhead speed while reducing unwanted twisting on miss-hits.
Adjustable Trajectory Control
An adjustable weighting system uses two interchangeable weights, 11g and 3g, to fine-tune ball flight. Positioning the heavier weight in the back promotes higher launch and added forgiveness, while moving it to the toe produces a lower, more penetrating flight with reduced spin. This adjustability allows trajectory tuning without compromising overall stability.
Forged Face with H.O.T. Technology
A forged face insert with H.O.T. Face technology increases face flex across a wider impact area. Ball speed and distance are preserved more effectively on off-centre strikes, delivering consistent performance without sacrificing feel.
On-Course Performance
On the course, the OPTM X Fairway produces an easy, mid-to-high launch with controlled spin and a stable, neutral flight. From the tee, it offers confidence and reliability on narrower holes. From the fairway, it launches cleanly and maintains carry into longer approaches. Centre strikes feel solid and fast, while off-centre hits retain direction and distance better than expected.

Built In-House at Nine by Nine
Every OPTM X Fairway Wood is assembled in-house at the Nine by Nine Golf workshop. Each club is built by a single master builder and finished to tour-level tolerances before dispatch. The focus is on accuracy and consistency, so the club you receive matches the specification you ordered.

I paid for Express shipping on a custom order, why hasn't it shipped next day?
Express shipping is the fastest possible shipping service, unfortunately it is not a way of getting your custom order built faster.
