32-Gram Adjustable Back Weight
At the heart of the G440 K is a 32-gram adjustable back weight that can be set to Neutral, Draw, or Fade. This system allows golfers to fine-tune shot shape while maintaining extremely high MOI. Compared to the previous G430 MAX 10K, the G440 K’s back weight is 4 grams heavier, positioning more mass at the perimeter of the head. This shifts the centre of gravity lower and deeper, increasing forgiveness and helping preserve ball speed across a wider impact area.
High-MOI Head Design
The G440 K features PING’s largest front-to-back profile in the range, reinforcing its focus on stability. By pushing mass to the perimeter and rear of the head, the design resists twisting at impact, helping maintain direction and speed on off-centre strikes. This high-MOI construction makes the G440 K particularly effective for golfers seeking straighter ball flights and more consistent carry.
Dual Carbonfly Wrap and Free-Hosel Technology
A Dual Carbonfly Wrap crown and sole save weight from high in the head, while Free-Hosel Technology removes mass from the hosel and heel section. In total, weight savings from the sole, crown, and hosel are redistributed to the perimeter and back weight. This not only lowers and deepens the CG, but also increases face flex in the heel area, helping retain ball speed on strikes that drift towards that side of the face.
T9S+ Face Technology
The G440 K uses a faster T9S+ face designed to maximise ball speed while maintaining consistent launch and spin. Paired with the deeper CG placement, the face delivers strong carry numbers without producing excessive spin, keeping flight stable and playable across a wide range of swing speeds.
Sound and Feel Engineering
A composite crown bridge and acoustic sole ribs are engineered into the head to refine sound and feel. These internal structures damp unwanted vibration by stiffening the crown and sole during impact, producing a more muted, solid sound that translates into a more satisfying strike.
On-Course Performance
On the course, the G440 K produces a high-stability ball flight with consistent launch and reliable carry. Centre strikes feel solid and powerful, while off-centre hits retain speed and direction noticeably well. The adjustable back weight allows golfers to dial in shot shape without sacrificing forgiveness, making the driver especially dependable on tight tee shots or when swing consistency varies.
